Chiropractic is a natural approach to healthcare. It is a hands-on, noninvasive technique that works to support your spine, joints, and nervous system without the use of drugs or surgery.

Chiropractors treat pain, injuries, and conditions relating to the spine. The spine houses your spinal cord which is made up of the nerves that transmit signals from your brain to the body. This being said a misalignment in your spine could cause problems to arise in your muscles, ligaments, and organs. Some examples of conditions that can be treated with chiropractic are headaches, neck pain, back pain, sciatica symptoms, constipation, thoracic outlet syndrome, carpal tunnel, etc.

A chiropractic adjustment utilizes techniques to treat issues involving the spine. A specific, controlled force is applied to the involved area to improve alignment, mobility, and function resulting in reduced pain and discomfort and increased function of your nervous system.

Chiropractic treatment is usually safe for most people, especially when performed by a trained and licensed chiropractor. Here at Total Health Chiropractic, we do our best to minimize any risks by thoroughly assessing your health before performing any treatment. Our approach includes a detailed intake process, comprehensive consultation, physical examination, and, when necessary, x-rays. This process ensures that we tailor our care to your specific needs while minimizing any potential risks. With our experienced and licensed chiropractors, you can trust that you’re in safe hands.

Your chiropractic treatment depends on the severity and duration of your condition. We practice corrective care meaning that there is always a beginning and end to our treatment. Wellness care is always encouraged to maintain and support the corrections that were made to avoid regressing. An example similar to this would be like wearing a retainer after getting your braces off. Your teeth still need a retainer to support the improvements that were made with braces.

Pain relief, increased mobility, improved posture, and a regulated nervous system are all benefits of regular chiropractic care. Your nervous system is responsible for stress response management, brain to body communication, healing and recovery, emotional and mental clarity, digestion, and hormonal balance.

Chiropractic care for kids is highly encouraged, as it promotes optimal health from a young age, setting the foundation for healthy adults.

There are a few things that happen during an adjustment. First is analysis, we take the time to check your spine before delivering any care to make sure we know which segments to adjust, Next is positioning/instruction. We will guide you into a specific position that is optimal for the joint or area affected to move. The chiropractor will then adjust you, applying a rapid force in the proper line of drive or correction. Any and all changes are welcomed as it means that your nervous system is functioning at full capacity.
